Accomplished Evolving Artist
Judy Bert Frisk has had a passion for painting,
drawing and the creative process for as long as she can remember. She
was an art major in college, has worked in oil, decorative painting and
interior design. Several years ago Judy rediscovered her love for
watercolor painting, and has been painting in that medium exclusively.
She has studied under nationally acclaimed watercolorists and continues her
education in this challenging medium. Her work has been included in
National Juried Art Shows.
Luminous Style
Judy’s watercolors are fresh and vibrant.
Her many admirers call her works “Happy Paintings”. Judy’s work evokes
of spontaneity as she captures the essence of her subject matter with an
impressionistic approach. She employs thin glazes to reveal the natural
glow of the medium. Judy has combined her love of flowers with her love
of painting. Florals and garden settings are frequent subject matter for
her paintings.
Paintings Available
Judy and her husband, artist Phil Frisk,
produce and market her paintings as well as a line of limited edition prints
and greeting cards. They have presented the prints in a variety of sizes
and in some innovative approaches. She personalizes some of the prints
with original remarques in the mats, thereby creating one-of-a-kind prints.
Judy’s work may be seen at her studio in Grand
Junction, in galleries and at Summer Art Festivals throughout the Rocky
Mountain region.
